A private, self-hosted automation assistant operated by Ted Hwang.

What this application is

Hermes Agent is a private, self-hosted software assistant. It runs on the operator's own devices and is not offered as a public or commercial service. It acts on behalf of the person who uses it, carrying out the tasks they request.

What it is for

Hermes Agent helps its user manage everyday work. With the user's explicit consent, given through Google's OAuth 2.0 authorization flow, it can connect to the user's own Google account and assist with:

Email — search, read, summarise, draft, and send messages in Gmail at the user's direction.
Calendar — review schedules, find conflicts, and prepare meetings.
Documents and files — find, read, create, and organise files in Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
Contacts — look up contact details when composing messages or scheduling.

The application accesses a user's Google data only to perform the tasks that user requests. It does not sell data, does not use it for advertising, and adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who uses it

Use is limited to the operator and to members of the small teams he leads, each of whom connects only their own Google account. It is not a multi-tenant or public service.
